Want to SAVE this recipe?
This might be a bold claim, but I really believe smoothies are one of the very best things ever invented. Like, sliced bread level good. How can something so creamy, so sweet, so satisfying, be so good for you, AND so easy and quick to make?
Even before I had kids, I made a smoothie almost daily to start the day, and now it’s their favorite snack too. I like to experiment with different flavors, and I have yet to make a smoothie we didn’t love, but we definitely have a soft spot for berry smoothies.
This triple berry smoothie continues to be a Sunday morning standby, and this avocado strawberry smoothie is my favorite way to use up a ripe avocado that’s hanging around without a plan.
This kale apple smoothie is a terrific way to get some nutrient-packed superfoods into my kids’ bellies in a non-intimidating way. This creamy tropical mango pineapple smoothie is the best remedy for the winter blues. And this coffee banana smoothie is the ultimate pick-me-up.
But when summer finally rolls around, it’s back to berries, and right now, the local strawberries and raspberries are in their absolute prime and they are perfect together in this creamy pink smoothie!

Why You’ll Love this Strawberry Raspberry Smoothie Recipe
- This smoothie is so nutrient dense! Both strawberries and raspberries are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They provide a good dose of vitamin C, fiber, and other essential nutrients.
- It takes five minutes to make! Just throw in your ingredients in a blender and you’re done.
- It’s super versatile! This strawberry raspberry smoothie recipe is customizable and you can add whatever you like in here. Throw in a frozen banana for even more creaminess, a handful of kale or spinach for a nutrient boost, or a scoop of protein powder for a post-workout treat.
Ingredient Notes

Milk
You can use any type of milk you prefer for this strawberry raspberry smoothie. Almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk, cow’s milk, or soy milk all work well.
If you’re looking for a creamy texture, opt for whole milk or a nut milk like almond or cashew. And if you don’t want to use milk at all, you can also use orange juice or coconut water.
Greek Yogurt
I love adding Greek yogurt to my smoothies because it adds a rich, creamy texture and a boost of protein to the smoothie. I like to use plain, full-fat Greek yogurt. But you can also use sweetened yogurt if you like, just omit the honey from the recipe if you’re doing that.
If you don’t have Greek yogurt, you can also use plain yogurt. And if you prefer a dairy-free option, use a plant-based yogurt alternative or just omit it.
Strawberries & Raspberries
I always add frozen fruit to my smoothies, it’s truly the best way to make a cold, creamy smoothie without diluting the flavor with ice. The frozen berries will give your strawberry raspberry smoothie a thick, frosty consistency while keeping it creamy and thick.
TIP: To freeze your fruit for a smoothie, simply put it on a baking sheet lined with parchment and freeze for an hour or so until solid. You can then use it immediately, or transfer it to a freezer-safe bag or container to save for another day.
Honey
I like to add some honey to this strawberry raspberry smoothie for a bit of sweetness and to complement all the tart flavors from the berries. You can adjust the amount based on your sweetness preference or substitute with maple syrup, agave nectar, or a sugar-free sweetener. You can also skip it altogether if you like it less sweet, or if you’re using a sweetened yogurt.
Vanilla
A little bit of pure vanilla extract rounds out the flavor of the smoothie.
Optional Add-Ins
- Add some protein with a tablespoon or two of nut butter like peanut butter or almond butter, or add a scoop of protein powder or powdered peanut butter.
- Add some veggies like a handful of spinach or kale.
- Add some fiber with a tablespoon of chia seeds or ground flax, pumpkin seeds, dates, or even a few beans!

Step by Step Instructions
- To your blender, add the milk and Greek yogurt first, followed by the frozen strawberries and raspberries, honey, and vanilla.

- Blend until smooth and creamy and you’re done!

How pretty is that color? This raspberry strawberry smoothie tastes as good as it looks!

Order of ingredients
To save your blender’s motor, it’s important to add your ingredients in the right order.
- Start with liquids (milk in this case)
- Followed by soft substances like yogurt and fresh fruits
- And finally your frozen fruits along with any flavorings and sweeteners.
Making a Strawberry Raspberry Smoothie Bowl
If you wish to turn your smoothie into a smoothie bowl, just omit the milk or add only half a cup. Pour the mixture into a bowl and top with all you favorite toppings – some chia seeds, granola, maybe some peanut butter and more fruit? It’s up to you! This smoothie tastes great – both from the glass and from a bowl.
Storage Instructions
This strawberry raspberry smoothie is best enjoyed as soon as you make it! However it will last in the fridge for about a day.
Meal prep tips
If you like to meal prep, I recommend making smoothie packs by combining the measured ingredients (except the milk and yogurt) in freezer bags. Store the bags in the freezer. When ready to make the smoothie, just add the contents of the bag to the blender along with the milk and yogurt, and blend until smooth.
Alternatively, make the smoothie and freeze it in an ice cube tray. Transfer cubes to a freezer-safe bag, and then blend with a bit of milk to bring it back to life.
