Summer entertaining is my favorite kind of entertaining because nobody expects anything too fancy. People are happy, the weather is good, and a table full of delicious things to snack on is all you really need. These are my go-to dips and appetizers for exactly that kind of easy, relaxed gathering. Everything comes together quickly, most of it can be prepped ahead, and it all disappears way faster than you expect.
Feta and Roasted Red Pepper Dip

My absolute favorite five-minute appetizer right now. Creamy, salty feta blended with sweet smoky roasted red peppers, lemon, and oregano into a gorgeous dip that looks way more impressive than it is. Serve it with pita chips or fresh veggies and watch it disappear. Full recipe: Feta and Roasted Red Pepper Dip
Cucumber Yogurt Dip

Cool, creamy, and completely refreshing, this is basically a classic tzatziki and it is one of those dips I make on repeat all summer. It comes together in minutes and pairs beautifully with warm pita, fresh veggies, grilled meats, or honestly just a spoon. Full recipe: Cucumber Yogurt Dip
Strawberry Salsa

Sweet, spicy, and a little unexpected. Fresh strawberries with jalapeño, lime, and cilantro make the most addictive summer dip. Put a bowl out with chips and I promise it will be the first thing gone off the table. Full recipe: Strawberry Salsa
Harissa Yogurt Dip

Creamy, tangy, and just spicy enough, this five-minute dip is one of my absolute favorites to bring to a summer gathering. Greek yogurt, harissa paste, lemon, and a touch of honey come together into something that goes with everything. Full recipe: Harissa Yogurt Dip

Za’atar Pita Chips

Ten minutes in the oven and you have the crunchiest, most flavorful homemade chips seasoned with a bold herby za’atar blend. So much better than anything from a bag and they go with every dip on this list. Full recipe: Za’atar Pita Chips
Halloumi Fries

Oven baked and coated in seasoned breadcrumbs for an incredible crispy crunch, served with a harissa yogurt dip on the side. These are cheesy, salty, and completely irresistible. I have never once made enough of them. Full recipe: Halloumi Fries
Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tarts

Flaky puff pastry topped with sweet caramelized onions and tangy goat cheese. They look incredibly fancy and come together with very little effort thanks to store-bought pastry. The kind of appetizer that makes everyone think you really know what you are doing. Full recipe:Â Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tarts
Heirloom Tomato Tart

A buttery, flaky homemade crust filled with creamy herbed ricotta and topped with gorgeous, jewel-colored heirloom tomatoes. It looks incredibly impressive but only takes about 15 minutes of hands-on time. This is the kind of thing you make when summer tomatoes are at their peak and you want to really let them shine. Potato Bites

All the classic loaded baked potato vibes, cheddar, bacon, sour cream, and chives, in a perfect little one-bite form. Easy to prep ahead, totally customizable, and the kind of appetizer that gets requests every single time. Full recipe: Potato Bites
