5-Minute Pizza Sauce from Tomato Paste

This richly flavored yet incredibly easy pizza sauce from tomato paste is no-cook and made from pantry staples in 5 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 6 oz chicken or vegetable broth or water
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients (tomato paste, broth, garlic, sugar, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and salt) in a medium bowl until smooth.
  • If you have the time, set aside for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

*This recipe makes enough sauce for two large 12-14 inch pizzas.
Storage tips
Leftover pizza sauce keeps well in the refrigerator in a glass jar or other airtight container for about a week. It can also be frozen for up to 3 months, or canned.
