Ingredients all purpose flour kosher salt unsalted butter light brown sugar cornstarch heavy cream maple syrup

This delicious sugar pie is a classic French Canadian dessert and so easy to make!

Mix the flour and salt together with a whisk. Cut in the cold butter with a pastry blender or your hands.

Now mix in the cold water gradually, just until the dough forms a ball.

Form two equal-sized balls, pat them into discs, and wrap in plastic wrap.

In a medium saucepan, whisk together all the ingredients for the filling and bring it to a boil. Now, let it cool.

Put the  first pie dough in the fridge while you roll out and cut the second disc into strips.

Fill the pie pan and weave dough strips on top. Leave a 1" overlap of pie dough. Finger or fork the edges and bake it

Your delicious Quebec sugar pie is ready to serve!
