Sweet Chili Tofu


vegetable broth Thai sweet chili sauce lime juice soy sauce chili flakes canola oil firm tofu cornstarch broccoli garlic green onions sesame seeds

Make the sauce by whisking the vegetable broth, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, and chili flakes.

Prepare the tofu block by squeezing it with paper towel to remove the excess water.

Now cut up the tofu block into small cubes.

Toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.

In a large skillet, fry the tofu cubes in hot oil until golden and crispy. Take it out on a plate.

In the same skillet, cook the broccoli in some oil and season with salt and pepper.

Add in the garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now take the cooked broccoli out of the skillet.

Now cook the sauce in the same skillet for 3-4 minutes until slightly thick and reduced.

Add the tofu and broccoli back in and mix well. heat it until the sauce coats the tofu and broccoli and everything is heated.

Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds and serve over rice!
