Mini Croque Monsieurs 

Ingredient Notes

puff pastry dijon mustard butter chopped onion flour milk nutmeg salt and pepper thinly sliced ham cheese fresh thym

Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets and cut it into equal squares to fit in your mini muffin tin.

Fit each square into the cups and brush with a little Dijon mustard. Now let this chill in the fridge.

To make the bechamel, melt butter over medium heat and cook your chopped onions till soft.

Add in the flour and cook for a minute, whisking constantly.

Slowly add in the milk while whisking it, and keep doing it until the sauce thicken up and gets bubbly.

Take the sauce off the heat and season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.

Time to assemble! Add the chopped ham to each cup, followed by the bechamel sauce.

Sprinkle with some cheese and transfer to the preheated oven to bake.

It's done when the cheese gets browned and the puff pastry is golden.

Top with fresh thyme and serve!
